William Michael “Bill” Kieffer

William Michael “Bill” Kieffer of RR 1, Bluevale, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2019. He was 72.

Bill was the loving husband of Linda (Schurter) Kieffer and cherished father of Sean and Tabatha Kieffer, Plattsville; Tammy and Gerry Beard,  Elmira and Jason and Erin Kieffer, Modesto, California. Bill was the dear grandpa of Brady, Bryce, and Keagan Kieffer, and Kieffer and Logan Beard. He was the brother of Marjorie Shupe, Georgina and Reinhart Schreiter, Ron Kieffer, Karen Weishar and Elaine and Peter Groot and the brother-in-law of Michael Black. 

Bill will be lovingly remembered by Linda’s brothers and sisters Jim and Linda Schurter, Michael and Joan Schurter, Lorraine and Jim Hallahan and Marian and David Kuntz, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Bill was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Anna Marie (Corrigan) Kieffer, brother Roger Kieffer and his wife Joan, sister Corrine Black and brothers-in-law Lorne Shupe and Ralph Weishar.

Visitation and Parish Vigil  Service were held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Sunday, Dec. 30. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Monday, Dec. 31. Father K.P. Morrison officiated. Interment will take place in the spring at Wingham Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Western Ontario Athletic Association, Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or Sacred Heart Church, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
