William "Bill" Richard Alcock

William “Bill” Richard Alcock of Goderich passed away at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He was in his 82nd year.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Helene (Mahood) Alcock (2010), and loving father of Rick and Sherry Alcock, Goderich; Kathy Alcock and Jimbo Sinnett, Goderich; Paul Alcock, Exeter and Mike and Christy Alcock, Goderich. He was the cherished grandfather of Steven and Bradley Alcock, Ryan (Avary) and Robyn Adams, James and Emma Alcock, Elizabeth and Michaela Alcock and great-grandfather of Jakob.

Bill was the dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty Daer, Clinton; Cora Alcock, Brussels; Murray and Barbara Alcock, Goderich and Carol Alcock, Goderich.

He was predeceased by parents Jack and Isabell Alcock, brothers Kenneth and Ross, brother-in-law Joseph Daer and half-brothers Tom and Frank.

At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Bluewater Chapel, Goderich on March 25. A memorial service was held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Goderich on Monday, March 26. A reception followed at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109, Goderich. 

Inurnment of cremated remains will be at Maitland Cemetery in the spring.

Memorial donations to Cystic Fibrosis or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
