Free concerts make sundown special on the beach
Top area bands and musical acts will take the stage at the third-annual Summer Sunset Sounds concert series on Grand Bend’s main beach.
Free concerts are held at 7:00 p.m. on the last evening of each summer weekend. You will be treated to something different each evening – rock, blues, swing, country, and indy acts are lined up for the season.
The series begins Monday, July 2 with a tribute to the South Huron Secondary School music program from Exeter.
The Sunday, July 8 program features Stacey Kay with special guest Ben Heffernan.
The legendary Fred Eaglesmith with Tiff Ginn and special guest Mattie Leon will perform July 15.
Emm Gryner, with special guest Raine Hamilton, will take to the stage July 22 and Genevieve Fisher and her guest Fresh Breath will finish off the July programming on July 29.
Coming up in August are Broomsticks and Hammers, with special guests Upside of Maybe on Civic Holiday weekend Monday, August 6.
Steel City Rovers with special guests Pat Robataille are on stage August 12.
The Mudmen with their guest Jared Lutes perform August 19, while 5 Oceans wind up the summer on August 26 with their special guest Mountain of Wolves.
The recently constructed stage is a permanent outdoor structure and Summer Sunset Sounds’ home overlooks beautiful Lake Huron. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy incredible live music, and, don’t forget your camera to catch one of the world’s best sunsets!
